Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Stimulus Package for PS3

Killed Bill MIA in COD Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on the PS3 needs no introduction - which is great as I'm too busy leveling up in COD.

If you're a COD fan you're probably reading this in the interlude as the next level loads so I'll keep this brief soldier.

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Stimulus Package for PS3 is imminent or at least that's what PS3 COD fans were expecting.

Imagine the surprise when an XBOX 360 ad was aired stating that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Stimulus Package was exclusive to XBOX 360.

What the?! I wanted to rush out and buy an XBOX 360 but then had a major flash back to owning a 360 years ago and that was enough to stop me dead in my tracks.

I did a bit of Googling and then headed on over to Gamespot.com where they state,

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Stimulus Package for PS3: This map pack includes three new arenas and two old favourites from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare."

So the Stimulus Package for PS3 is going to be made available?

But what's this, "Three new arenas and two old favourites" Two old favourites?!

So now not only do I feel cheated that apparently XBOX 360 is getting some exclusive content but PS3 gamers have 40% of re purposed content. That's ridiculous. I, like million of other COD fans, already own Modern Warfare if we want to rip it up with the older version, we simply slip in that specific disc!

The only way this can possibly make sense is if the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Stimulus Package for PS3 is free, anything more is going to be a rip off. Watch them charge try and charge £9.99 GBP or $9.99 USDollars for the privelage of three new levels.

A note for Activision: If the development team had repurposed all the levels from Call of Duty Modern Warfare and provided the DLC for just £14.99 so gamers could play all Modern Warfare levels in Modern Warfare 2 along with three new levels that would be acceptable, as it stands you're just drip feeding our desire for content regardless of whether it's new or not and ripping us off in the process. Sure, gamers can choose not to pay but the majority including me will! If you're going to repurpose content please don't bundle it up to try and justify the high price associated with the new content, most gamers are willing to pay a premium for high quality maps so focus on originality and not remixes and when it comes to offering exclusive content don't sell out to the highest bidder.

I WHOLE HEARTED AGREE.When a company like activision gets in bed with developers like infinity ward and theres a falling out guess who suffers. those repackaged content maps are all they have to offer and it sucks. personally i was looking forward to a night battle in some jungle village (not the favella) in brazil.
